Trails are groomed for cross country skiing in winter. Snowshoe trails are also marked throughout the trail system. Updates are posted on this page after each winter grooming session. *During the grooming season, please hike, snowshoe, or walk pets on snowshoe trails only.* WI Administrative Code NR45.04(3)(j) prohibits walking or snowshoeing on designated ski trails on DNR land, and NR45.06(3) prohibits dogs on ski trails. Dogs are allowed on North Lakeland's snowshoe trails. Snowshoe trails are open for hiking, snowshoeing and pet walking year 'round.
