What is North Lakeland Community Education?
Our commitment to our encompassed communities goes well beyond the end of a regular school day, year, or graduation. We at North Lakeland believe that a school should constantly shine; serving as a beacon that reflects lifelong relationships through continued learning, while collaborating with locals and community organizations. Local citizens and NLS staff's shared vision of continuing education respects everyone's age, ability, and efforts associated. We respect time commitments, and if you would like to participate, or teach a course (you do not have to have a teaching license), it can be as short as one day, or only a few hours long. Many course offerings are introductory, but some are offered on intermediate/advanced levels as well for continued learning.
What is North Lakeland's Lighted Schoolhouse program?
This after-school programming option has been a student, staff, and parent favorite for many years. Simply said, Lighted Schoolhouse’s primary goal is to provide each child an opportunity. After-school programming has the capacity to build healthy all-around relationships as students and staff get to interact as an entire school after the school day is over (4K-8th grade)! Many, if not all, activities are taught by teachers or a familiar face in the building. Activities are typically season-related and are geared to cater to all of the students in our care. This program respects shortened time commitments and the stressors associated with trying anything new, sometimes scary, or altogether different. Feel free to contact Matt Pritzl (information below) with questions, or if you would like to volunteer your knowledge and services with our Lighted Schoolhouse program.
